Constant Zero
Use Constant Zero as a fixed, actively driven LOW (0) source in DigiSim Logic Lab. It represents a logic value, not an electrical ground or pull-down resistor model.
Overview
Constant Zero is a fixed one-bit source that continuously drives LOW.
DigiSim Interface
Use Constant Zero when a circuit should show an intentional fixed LOW connection. An unwired or released input also follows Logic Lab's LOW sampling convention, but an explicit source makes the design intent visible.
Simulation Boundary
Constant Zero represents a logic value. It is not electrical ground or a pull-down resistor and does not establish a reference potential, resistance, or current path.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Constant Zero component?
Constant Zero continuously drives logic LOW (0), which is useful for fixed data or inactive active-HIGH control inputs. It does not model ground potential, resistance, or current.
Why do I need to ground unused inputs?
Physical digital inputs require a defined bias because an open pin may not have a valid logic level. In DigiSim, an unwired or released Z input follows the simulator's pull-down sampling convention; Constant Zero makes the intended LOW explicit.
