Project workflows

Each lab has its own project and export model.

Logic, Relay, Electricity, and Analog do not use one interchangeable file format. Check the lab and current plan before relying on an import, download, image, or netlist workflow.

Export controls depend on the current plan. Logic .digi project download is available without a paid export entitlement; rendered exports remain plan-controlled.

Archival guidance

Keep the native project when future editing matters

An image or netlist is not always a complete substitute for the native editor document. For important work, retain the native project where export is available, record the originating lab, and keep a rendered reference image when useful.

  • Do not rename one lab's extension to another.
  • Open older files in the originating lab, work from a copy, and verify migrated content before replacing the original.
  • A browser draft is convenient local state, not an institutional backup guarantee.

Sharing boundary

Unlisted does not mean access-controlled

Logic and Electricity unlisted links can be opened by anyone who has the URL. Relay's UUID viewer is also publicly accessible while its share remains active, although the owner can revoke it. Use exported files and your institution's approved storage process when the recipient list must be controlled.

Choose a lab before choosing a file workflow.
